Mountain City, Uhland, Buda, San Marcos, and Niederwald are the closest neighbors of this community founded in the second half of the 19th century from portions of Blanco and Mountain City territories. This land is located a bit less that 25 miles away from Austin and approximately 55 miles away from San Antonio, being home of an estimated population of 7600 inhabitants. Recent studies have revealed that the median resident age is more than 4 years under the Texan median age, which should be a wakeup call for the authorities of this territory in order to take advantage of the young population into the search of financial growth.
