ABOUT THE AREA
Founded in the 1840s, this territory is communicated by four major highways including the Interstate 35 and the State Highway 21 which cross an extension of more than 680 square miles with a population density of more than 50 people per square mile. The racial makeup of this land is rich with more than 3/4 of White Non Hispanic residents, close to 3/10 of Latino inhabitants, and small groups of African American, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, and other races. Some of the communities in this land are Austin, Buda, Bear Creek, Wimberley, and Mountain City.
