Known as the "Norwegian Capital of Texas", this city is a calmed community nested in the arms of Meridian, Valley Mills, Morgan, Cranfills Gap, Turnesville, and Crawford. The demographics of this land of strong German and Irish ancestries reveals a racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, Latino, African American, Native American, and other racial groups; generating a population density of more than 1885 inhabitants per square mile. Almost two square miles of extension are home of more than 3600 people with a median age of 41 years old; which is over the Texan average median age by 9 years.
