ABOUT THE AREA
Traditions, culture, and ancestries have played an important role in the growth and progress of Burleson County established in the 1840s and served by Caldwell as its government operations center. The northern border of this territory is constituted by Robertson, Milam and Brazos Counties, the southern one is represented by Washington and Lee Counties; and finally the eastern and western limits are also given by portions of the Counties previously mentioned. Twenty-one localities constitute the map of this land including Harmony, Tunis, Snook, Rita, Merle, Wilcox, Clay, Cooks Point, and Birch.
