COMMENTS
Cold Spring was one of the locations for the filming of the 2005 film "War of The Worlds", used especially for the river scenes.
ABOUT THE AREA
Also known as Cold Spring-on Hudson, the village is within the town of Phillipstown and is 50 miles north of NYC. During the Civil War, President Lincoln visited a cannon-making foundry located in Cold Spring. Note that there is a similarly named <a href="http://town-court.com/getTownCourt.php?courtID=501">Coldspring Town Court</a> in Cattaraugus County in the western part of New York State, and there are other Cold Spring places in other states as well.
