ABOUT THE AREA
Traditional, caring, and organized could be some of the attributes of this territory with portions in Collin, Dallas, and Rockwall Counties. Situated approximately 20 miles away from Dallas, this municipality of American, German, Irish, and English ancestries exhibits a racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, Latino, African American, Native American, and other racial groups. More than 13 square miles out of the 33 square miles of total area of this community organized in the 1880s are represented by bodies of water, and the remaining extension was very much dedicated to agriculture, farming, hunting, and fishing activities.
