ABOUT THE AREA
Named for William Gordon, this community served by Gainesville as its county seat is unique and charming from every point of view. Love County represents the northern border of Cooke County, Grayson County is the eastern neighbor, Denton and Wiss Counties constitute the southern wing, and finally Montague County is the western frontier of this land with a racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, African American, Native American, Asian, Latino, and other racial groups. Some of the localities in this corner of Texas are Callisburg, Myra, Rosston, Sivells Bend, Woodbine, and Walnut Bend.
