ABOUT THE AREA
Named after the James Coryell, this territory is served by the US Highway 84, US Highway 190, and State Highway 36 was established in the 1850s. More than 6/10 of the residents of Coryell are White Non Hispanic, 1/5 of the inhabitants are African American, close to 1/10 corresponds to Latinos, and the remaining percentage is represented by minorities of Asian, Pacific Islander, and other racial groups. Three unincorporated localities and six cities constitute the map of this county including Evant, Gatesville, Fort Hood, and South Mountain.
