ABOUT THE AREA
Cottle County was named after George Washington Cottle and it is one of the proud dry counties in Texas. Created during the last decade of the 19th century, this land, nested between Childress, Hardeman, Foard, King, Motley, and Hall Counties, is served by US Highway 70, US Highway 83, and US Highway 62. With a population density of 3 square miles of extension and a per capita income of $16200, this community has a racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, African American, Latino, and other racial groups.
