ABOUT THE AREA

Issaquah; don't try to figure it out or even pronounce it. The name is probably derived from an Indian name. It was once a logging and mining village. The City of Issaquah is known as the Trailhead City, being at the center of the "Issaquah Alps," Cougar, Squak, Tiger Mountains and Grand Ridge all of which are nature parks. So climbers, climb away; but be careful, don't fall into court.
