ABOUT THE AREA
Named after the Spanish for "the pass", this community of more than 755400 residents is the proud son of the Rio Grande and a puzzle piece of El Paso metro area. Established in the 1840s, this land is the proud neighbor of Dona Ana and Otero Counties in New Mexico, Hudspeth County in Texas, and finally Juarez, Guadalupe, and Praxedis Guerrero in Chihuahua Mexico. The racial makeup present in this land includes White Non Hispanic, African American, Native American, Asian, Latino, and other racial groups in a territory with a population density of more than 670 people per square mile.
