ABOUT THE AREA
The Banks Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a high point attraction. Even Okfenokee is drivable distance as the Banks Park stretches into the other. Folkston was nicknamed the marriage capital because couples who lived in Florida had to wait a long period to get married so they crossed the state border and got married here instead.
