ABOUT THE AREA
Part of the Marshall Micropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Longview–Marshall Combined Statistical Area, this community established in the 1830s is connected by the Us Highway 59, Interstate 20, US Highway 80, State Highway 43, State Highway 49, and State Highway 154. This land has 915 square miles of extension sharing borderlines with Marion, Caddo Parish (Louisiana), Panola, Rusk, Gregg, and Upshur Counties. Home of the Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge, this territory presents a racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, African American, Native American, Asian, Latino, and other racial groups.
