ABOUT THE AREA
This village was created in 1936 as part of FDR's New Deal at the time of the Great Depression as a suburban community. Southridge Mall is huge and hence you can expect some shoplifting cases in the Greendale Municipal Court. Visitors can tour a Civil War farmstead and the beautiful botanical gardens. The Root River flows through part of the town.
