ABOUT THE AREA
The town is located in the Catskill Mountains; its northern town line borders with Schoharie county and western town line borders Delaware county. Prattsville is named after Zadock Pratt, its founder and area\'s most prominent tanner. Red Falls is a lovely, picturesque local attraction. Pratt Rock Park, on Rte 23, is one of those roadside attractions like the \"world\'s largest ball of twine\". It is a display of rock carvings, some on a miniature scale of Mt.Rushmore. The Schoharie Reservoir is just north of Prattsville.
