Lawrence Town Court is located just above the village in North Lawrence. This is not far from one of the larger towns in the North Country, Massena, N.Y. The court in North Lawrence has a friendly staff.

The Raquette River runs by the town of Lawrence and North Lawrence. This is a popular area for canoeing and kayaking. Many people take summer vacation day trips to enjoy the river here. Tourists from Quebec, Ontario, New Jersey, and New York City can be found enjoying this natural place in the summer months. The nearby St. Lawrence River is also a main attraction with its Seaway and Dam. Many people come to see the large ships and the information concerning hydro-electric power. This area makes much of the hydro-electric power for the Northeast of the United States.
