Levelland is an attractive city on the Llano Estacado with an estimated population of 12900 inhabitants, and very successful cotton farming and petrolum industries. This community serves Hockley as its county seat and it is part of the Lubbock-Levelland Combined area. Everyone seems to appreciate the beauty in this corner of Texas, visited even by UFOs back in the 1950s according to records revealed by the USA Air Force. With a total land of almost 10 square miles, this municipality has a racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, African American, Native American, Asian, Latino, and other racial groups.
