ABOUT THE AREA
German, English, American, Irish, and Scotch-Irish ancestries have merged in harmony in this community elevated 1640 feet above sea level with a total land area of 17 square miles. Named after James Kerr, this land nested in the hills of Texas Hill Country is home of the Hill Country Museum, Texas Lions Camp, Museum of Western Art, Riverside Nature Center, Echo Hill Ranch Summer Camp, and host of the Texas' annual State Arts and Crafts Fair.
