ABOUT THE AREA
Named for the Pecos River, this land in Texas State is one of the most important gas producers in America. Home of the Fort Stockton Pioneer newspaper, this territory founded in the 1870s has a total area of more than 4750 square miles of extension. Connected by the Interstate 10, US Highway 67, US Highway 285, US Highway 385. and State 18; this community shares frontiers with Ward, Crane, Terrell, Reeves, Jeff Davis, Crockett, and Brewster Counties.
