The Waterville Airport which is open to the public is managed by Port of Douglas County. With a runway of 2978 feet it is available for smaller aircraft. The Waterville Pioneer Park, located on US Highway 2, is a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic lunch or just relax. The Douglas County Museum displays various tools and cultural items used by First Nations and pioneers of the late 1800s. Badger Mountain ski area to the South of the city features ski slopes, cross country trails, snow tubing and a warm day lodge with hot food outlets.
