ABOUT THE AREA
Darlington Public square is an interesting place to visit. There is legend behind the courthouse on the square. The story is that two men were arguing about the location of the courthouse and whether it should be in their own town. Finally they came to a conclusion that they would sit on a horseback and ride towards each other’s town. The point where they meet, the courthouse would be constructed. That is how the Darlington Circuit court was built wherever it stands today.
