This court is more commonly known as the Moses Lake branch of the Grant District Court and is located just about where East Wheeler road meets State Road 17.

The city was named for an Indian chief who was given that name "Moses" by early Presbyterian missionaries to the area. In 1910 the hamlet of Neppel was founded to serve the needs of a small group of pioneering farmers who settled on the shores of the lake. In the late 1930's a U. S. Highway was built through the town resulting in a spurt in population growth. At that time residents of Neppel voted to change the town's name to Moses Lake. The next spurt in growth occurred in the early 40's when the U. S. Army established a Bomber Training Base nearby. A recent addition to the town is the 9-hole "Highlander Greens" course.
