Stae Roads 17 and 28 are the two main roads in the area of this court.

Soap Lake is aptly named for the lake on which it lies. At the turn of the last century, Soap Lake was one of the most well known mineral spas in the country. It was noted for its mineral rich water and creamy black mud. The city grew from the location of a sanitarium open to the public in 1907. Visitors came all over to take water, mud and steam baths.Word got around and many came to the lake seeking treatment for untold health maladies. Hotels, cabins and numerous cottages filled, many proprietors rented tents to the thousands of people who came. By the 1980s the town had fallen in disrepair. The town is experiencing a resurgence as more people are discovering the laid-back atmosphere of the town.
