ABOUT THE AREA
Saranac Lake is a lovely town located 10-15 minutes north of Lake Placid, New York. Take in their wonderful shops and art galleries. The Hotel Saranac is run by the area college Paul Smith's hospitality and culinary school. Awesome food and drink so make sure to stop by on your visit. Also, two stores to check out called Two Horse Trading and Goodie Goodies. Great places to buy items for the family. In February Saranac Lake has a great winter carnival with a parade, crowning of a king and queen, and fireworks. And don't forget Paul Smith's College in the nearby Town of Brighton.
