ABOUT THE AREA
Scriba formed in 1811 from Town of Volney is named after a landowner George Scriba. It is one of few densely populated towns in Oswego County. The town of Scriba is well developed with sufficient civic amenities. Scriba is situated on the important state highway and links Oswego to important town and villages. Some say the town is mostly known for its highway recreational resources.
