People like Gary Davis and Pink Anderson derived their enthusiasm to sing from the city. They were born and brought up here. Laurens is surrounded by rich natural beauty. A band called Eleventy Severn was also from here. Somehow Laurens gave birth to several sons of music. The I-385 connects the city to the rest of South Carolina.
