ABOUT THE AREA
Named for Isaac Van Zandt (member of the Congress of the Republic of Texas), this community of more than 48000 inhabitants is served by Canton City as its county seat. This dry land established in the 1840s has a total area of almost 860 square miles of extension. Connected by Interstate 20, US Highway 80, State Highway 19, and State Highway 64; this territory shares borders with Rains, Wood, Smith, Henderson, Kaufman, and Hunt Counties.
