ABOUT THE AREA
Named for the daughter of settler William Waggoner, this community in Wichita metro area was known as the "Beaver" lands. Oil land since 1910s, this small but proud land home of the Pump Jack Festival claimed for years the title of Pump Jack Capital of Texas. Founded in the 19th century, this kind territory elevated 1220 feet above sea level has a median household income of more than $24000 and a per capita income of approximately $13250.
