ABOUT THE AREA
The Pickens Courthouse is the most prominent and classic building of the entire city. In fact the city was previously called Pickens Courthouse. It was in the Indian territory until early 17th century and later was moved to South Carolina State. United States President John Calhoun lived here and later his home was converted into a museum and garden. It is one of the best places to visit in Pickens.
