ABOUT THE AREA
Once considered "as inaccessible as the North Pole", this community of more than 2500 inhabitants is served by the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service. Previously know as Wabitigweyaang, this territory connected to Deer Lake and Pikangikum by many winter road is the proud father of Abe Kapetum. Home of five clans including Crane and Suckers; this land is integrated by five districts: River, Big Rock, Centre, Ghost Point, and RC side.
