ABOUT THE AREA
Organized, clean, friendly, and traditional are some of the adjectives to describe this community known as "Canada's Premier Arts Town". Refreshed by the waters of Avon River, this territory with an estimated population of 30500 inhabitants was incorporated in the 1880s. Inspired by the motto "Industria et Ars", this land of less than 9 square miles of extension has an average elevation of more than 1190 feet above sea level. Nested between Milverton, Kitchener, Woodstock, and St Marys; this town has three local newspapers: The Beacon Herald, The Stratford Citizen, and The Stratford City Gazette.
