ABOUT THE AREA
Part of the Municipality of Brockton since 1999, this territory on the Saugeen River was named after Joseph Walker. Incorporated in the 1870s, this community faced in 2000 a very sad episode on its town history due the water contamination with E Coli. Home of Esthero, this small land served by Walkerton District Secondary School and Sacred Heart High School is famous due its particular churches location and courthouse complex.
