State Roads 7 & 86 and US Highway 30 comingle in Baker city. IS 84 runs along the Eastern side of the city.

Be sure to ride on the Baker City trolley while you are in town. You can take it for a ride into the Historic district with its many registered historic buildings and art galleries. The Baker Heritage Museum is located, if you can believe it, in an old Natatorium. Here you will find exhibits of mining, timber, ranching, agriculture and early Baker City life. There are even exhibits dedicated to Chinese culture. The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, located to the East of Baker City, presents living history enactments. There are also interpretive programs, exhibits, multi-media presentations and special events. If you like to walk there are more than four miles of interpretive trails.
