U.S. Highway 30, whch runs concurrently with State Roads 11 and 37 goes through the town and Interstate Highway 84 passes to the South.

The Pendleton Round-Up held in late November of each year draws visitors from all over the United States and foreign countries. Attendees can get to sit in the newly renovated grandstands. The usual rodeo events are held with the best riders in the US competing. An interesting attraction to take in is the Pendleton Underground Tours which features buldings in Pendleton's Historic District. These building are on the National Register of Historic Places and are in what was once the red light district of Pendleton. The Eastern Oregon Regional airport, owned by the city of Pendleton, lies to the Northwest and has runways measuring 6301, 5581 and 4341 feet in length. Pendleton is home to Blue Mountain Community College; which educates its students in various such as Agriculture and Farm Business Management, Civil Engineering & Drafting Technology and Diagnostic Imaging Technology.
