COMMENTS
Village Court is located at the Village Hall by the Old Field Point Lighthouse on Old Field Road, the main artery in the village. The Village was subject to a civil suit regarding the zealousness of the Old Field Constables, a small group of people who are designated to enforce the village codes. The lawsuit claimed that the village constables illegally exceeded their authority by enforcing state vehicle and traffic laws as well, which are the duties of a county officer.

Old Field is a quaint little village which sits on the north shore of Long Island in the Town of Brookhaven. The Old Field Point Lighthouse is on the northern tip of Old Field and is the location of village government.
