Prospect Park is a tiny town having a total area of 0.5 square miles. It has a population of 5700 people out of which nearly 3.5% are of Arab American ancestry, which is the sixth highest percentage of Arab Americans in the United States. The town has an excellent Recreation Board which channels its time and energy on coming up with constructive events for kids and adults. It sponsors events such as Hide-and-Seek, dancing and singing competitions for kids, soccer and Easter, Halloween and Christmas programs for children. The town also has facilities for volleyball, baseball, basketball and hockey. The William Patterson University is less than a mile away from this town. We often find University students living here and commuting up and down to the University.
