ABOUT THE AREA
Roughly one-seventh of the Borough of Wanaque is water-covered. This Borough is home to the Ramapo Lake and the Ramapo State Forest. The forest has well-maintained trails for walking and cycling. The Wanaque Reservoir supplies to many areas, and is fed by the Wanaque River that flows through the Ramapo Valley. The Municipal Building conveniently houses the Municipal Court, the Main office and a few other departments.
