Maricopa ruled the tourism world in the early 18th century and also the 19th century. It was the queen through the mining age and gold rush. Even today she rules in smaller ways where you can visit the Indian trails and museums. What was once a boom town still remains to be a prime visitor’s center. Visit the southern parts of Canyon which is rich with wildlife. However beware of the rattlers which can bring on unwelcome surprises on you. As long as you do not get into trouble it is a beautiful place with beautiful people to visit.
