This populous borough of 17,000 people is located close to the NY-NJ border and to Manhattan. The Dumont Borough Hall houses the Municipal Court and several other departments. The town has a 'Shade Tree Commission' that oversees that trees are planted and tended to. The town believes in planting trees to keep the borough beautiful and homely. The town also has a Recreation Department that chalks out numerous activities all year round for it's residents. The Dumont Little League is a baseball club for children.
