ABOUT THE AREA
The borough of Emerson has a population of around 7000 people in nearly 3000 homes. This pretty town is a 35 minute drive from the Big Apple and is well served by NJ Transit too. Most of the Borough Departments are conveniently located in the Borough Hall. The Municipal Court staff is very well-informed and friendly. The Court Administrator has to keep herself updated by attending lectures and classes on new rules and laws. This town believes in having a lot of trees to keep the borough beautiful. The Tree Preservation Committee and the Shade Tree Commission encourage planting of trees, flowering shrubs and plants in and around the town.
