The city of Flowood has several venues for recreational activities. Adams Street park has an outside full court basketball area, a large open-air Pavilion with picnic tables, a playground area, a combination baseball/softball field and a concession stand with bathroom amenities. Crystal Lake is a popular place with fishing enthusiasts and picnic goers. Its picnic areas are equipped with tables and restroom facility. Uniquely this park has two handicap fishing piers in addition to a newly renovated boat launch. The city is especially proud of its Flowood Liberty Park facility. The park has both four-plex illuminated baseball complex and a four-plex illuminated softball complex each with its up to date concession area and restrooms. If that is not enough; to accommodate most any activity for all it also is equipped with four Olympic sized soccer fields which can be adjusted to different size age groups.
