The township is believed to have gotten it\'s name from the John Haddon family who were the first settlers. The township population is a little less than 15,000. The downtown section of Haddon Township is called Westmont. The Haddon Municipal Court is located in Westmont. Haddon township is located centrally to many commerce areas, including Cherry Hill. There are a multitude of lakes and ponds in the township - Hopkins pond, Crystal Lake and Newtown Lake attract visitors. US Rt 30 and County Routes 70 and 154 are in the area. The county also has a big park nearby.
