About the area	Montgomery township has nearly 17,500 residents. Belle Mead is a community within Montgomery and houses the Mun. Court. Belle Mead General Depot is a huge Depot in the area. Mattawang Golf Course is walking distance from the Courthouse area and is exceptionally well-maintained. The historic Dirck Gulick House is believed to be more than 200 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Recreation Dept. in the township has a Therapeutic Center that caters to people who have disabilities. US Rt 206 and Routes 601 and 630 pass through the township.
