About the area	Magisterial District 05-3-12 serves the neighborhoods of East Liberty and Homewood. Both are notoriously high-crime areas, with Homewood usually ranking first in Pittsburgh homicides. But East Liberty is on the up-and-up. Hopefully, the changes occurring there (through economic development) will spread to Homewood. Right now, Homewood has many stop the violence movements. So hope and persistence is still alive.
