| Comments | Relatively quiet court near state correctional facility. Judge Roberg doesn't like crying babies in the courtroom. But then who does? There used to be a Coxsackie Village Court, but the court was merged into the Town Court. The village still exists and town court is held in the Village Hall. |
| About the area | Coxsackie is a nice town in between the town of Athens and the town of New Baltimore. All border the Hudson River and have the I-87 Thruway running through. The town is also home to the Coxsackie Correctional Facility, and this may generate some criminal matters for the court when the inmates get out of line. |
| Judges | Hon. Thomas Fori (also an assistant in the County Attorney's office) & Hon. Richard Roberg |
| Prosecutors | The Greene County District Attorney prosecutes criminal cases in Coxsackie Town Court. Recently the DA has picked up Trooper tickets as well. The ADA here is now apparently Sarah Leggio (see comment below). It used to be Ted Hilscher, who also teaches classes at CGCC, and serves (or served) as a Catskill Village trustee. He's a true gentleman lawyer and we'll miss him. But we hear good things about Ms. Leggio. |
| Type Of Cases | Lots of Thruway speeding tickets along with the usual local traffic, DWI, and criminal matters. |
