| About the area | Shafter is among the smaller cities of California. It played an important role as a railroad point in California’s history. Proximity to Bakersfield and Delano offers the residents a lot of entertainment options. It is en route to either of the cities. Being a quiet town it does not see much of traffic or it is not considered to be a busy route. In Kern county Shafter is a much preferred area to live because of the school district and also cheap real estate. This place comes quite as a surprise as compared to other places in California where you have to pay exorbitant amounts just to rent a house. |
