Founded back in the 1850s, this borough in Indiana County is another puzzle piece of the Indiana metro area, where the Hoodlebug Summer Festival takes place every July inviting visitors from all the nearby cities of Lucerne Mines, Black Lick, and Indiana borough. This community was named for the ancient Greek poet Homer, incorporated in the early 1870s, and it is today the home of more than 1800 inhabitants on a blessed land of just 0.6 square miles of area. |
