| Comments | 1st District - Criminal Court - is the general court for criminal matters in the county as a whole. The other three districts cover matters for the towns in particular. There is also a Nassau County Traffic Court. |
| About the area | The court is in Hempstead, which has 1400 acres of parks including 22 outdoor pools and more. They've got wetlands and bays, and a population of nearly 800,000 people (that's more than Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer and Saratoga counties together, and then some) in close to 150 square miles. Great golf, museums, and even shopping (hard to believe in Long Island) including the famous Roosevelt Field mall. The New York Islanders play hockey here, and Belmont Park is here for the third leg of the Triple Crown of thoroughbred racing. |
