Comments	A busy court suffering from an overdose of drug cases and recovering from police corruption that is hopefully now in the past. Versaci is said to take a very tough line on prostitution cases. Civil Part is at 105 Jay Street.
About the area	The City of Schenectady was the home of General Electric. Like many upstate cities, industrial decline and suburban flight have left the city in a difficult position. Recent economic development efforts create some hope. The Union College area is doing well.
Hours of Operation	This is a full-time court. M-F 9-5.
Judges	Hon. Guido Loyola (is he still there?), Hon. Vincent Versaci & Hon. Christine Clark
Prosecutors	Schenectady DA's office handles most cases in the City Court. We've heard that traffic cases cannot be resolved by mail, unlike the rest of the county. Hopefully that will change.
Type Of Cases	A substantial amount of urban crime, much of it the result of drug prohibition.

2007-01-04 21:53:51: Court does not sign off on licence suspensions unless a disposition is closed although suspension papers state a disposition is not required.
2009-09-28 23:53:17: I have been handling traffic matters in Sch'dy via mail with no problem other than the number of months it takes and the fact that they do not issue you a control date.
