About the area	Islandia is located just west of Ronkonkoma in the Town of Islip. The Long Island Expwy (I-495) passes right through the village. Under 3000 residents here. Has some golf nearby, along with Lakeland County Park and the larger Connetquot River State Park. Not a long river mind you. Creek seems more like it.

2008-03-11 18:40:59: tickets given out at the park and ride exit 58 of LIE are excessive and often times ridiculous. This has negatively affected our decision to carpool and be environmentally concerned. The Islandia court system should instead encourage people to carpool, instead of discouraging it with hefty fines given out for silly reasons.
2008-04-08 14:46:45: I just think its crazy that Islandia area exit 58 gives out so many tickets I hate driving over there.
2008-06-12 19:03:44: I will NOT shop in Islandia any longer because 2 years ago while Christmas shopping (spending alot of $$$) I found a ticket on my car!!! My daughter received 2 tickets recently while visiting her boyfriend at his home in Islandia!!! The town should stop this abuse because they are ultimately taking business away from that area, which in turn hurts the town ane the people in their community who are trying to make a living!!!!

2009-11-16 18:49:02: this court is bootleg ! i was convicted and all i got was an addressed envelope with the amount i owe written on the inner flap. what a chop shop !
2010-04-19 19:47:17: I received a ticket two years ago for speeding and there were other cars going faster than I was, and I was on the other side of a truck!!! This township takes advantage of the drivers. No one should ever stop in that town
2010-05-18 16:25:42: It is unclear to me if a auto is licensed and passes NYS inspection how Suffolk County can determine the car's window do not meet code? Where is this code and how can a county deem a car not road worthy while the State says it is?
